Vishal to maintain balance between content and profit for Two States

Though acclaimed filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj might have decided to go on a sabbatical, but one thing that will top his mind will be the expectations from his forthcoming film TWO STATES, which by all means are bound to wear him down. Unlike his previous cinematic sojourns which have given him critical acclaim, the fact that Vishal is not considered to be a money making filmmaker is no good news for his cinema and for his filmmaking style. After all, the fact that a film is finally gauged by its box- office returns is a harsh fact that will keep Vishal company in his break time. His lead star SRK, according to insiders, is keeping a close watch on how Vishal approaches his new subject. According to close sources, 'SRK wants Vishal to direct 2 STATES in a way that balances the content and the profit. Making only critically acclaimed films with no profit does not seem an exciting idea to the superstar who is banking high hopes on Vishal.' So, apparently Vishal might be on break, but it is not a completely relaxing time for him either. The fact that he has to make profitable as well as critically acclaimed films is a concern that will keep him occupied. o
